We are seeking an experienced and passionate function supervisor / coordinator to join the team during an exciting period of growth. We are looking for a full or part-time time supervisor to join our wonderful team of 4 managers, 5 supervisors and over 80 staff.

At least 2 years previous experience in a similar role is preferred, along with a strong background in hospitality. SkyHigh restaurant is very busy and at times a team of up to 14 staff are in operation so it is a great opportunity to advance your skills. The job is for 5 days a week and 40-45 hours a week but can be for 24-32 hours a week for a reduced salary.

About The Role:

- The supervisor / coordinator will assist / support with function and event managers and bistro manager where necessary and facilitate the smooth running of the functions and events. The position is part office based and part operational.
- Planning of shifts, adjusting rosters, briefing and debriefing of staff
- Controlling the flow of customers into the function centre
- Ensuring bottlenecks are cleared quickly by moving staff from one section to another
- Relationship management - managing our loyal customers and ensuring the highest levels of customer service
- Meeting with staff to ensure staff development and resolution of conflict
- Phone sales - Ensuring bookings are taken promptly and full communication is given to all departments
- Work closely with the head chef and bistro manager to ensure service is quick and customers are happy

About You:

- You are not afraid to push for improved service and train an effective team
- You are confident to co-ordinate up to 15 staff at a time in multiple areas
- An understanding of a big function venue would be beneficial. You will have worked in either a catering company, restaurant group, venue or hotel previously
- You will have an Australian Driver's License
- You are proficient with excel, word and Outlook and prior exposure to a restaurant booking systems such as OBEE would be an advantage
- You love working in a friendly team environment
- You have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- You will have a willingness to multitask
- You have an eye for detail and an appreciation of great food and service
- You are hardworking and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $68,731.00 - $70,564.00 per year
