**The Firm & The Role**
Our client is an international powerhouse. Due to a strong pipeline of work, the firm is looking to recruit a construction lawyer at the 2 to 5 year level. The firm and this particular team acts for construction companies, property developers, engineering companies, environment consultancies, energy & renewable companies, government bodies, major corporations (local and international) including ASX-listed companies.
The work will focus on back-end work (usually complex engineering disputes) as well as general disputes. There will also be exposure to arbitration matters.
You will be given responsibility appropriate for your level eg briefing counsel, attending court, drafting pleadings, drafting letters of advice, instructing expert witnesses.
You will be mentored by well known and well respected partners who are approachable and have an open door policy.
**About You**
- You will have at least 2 years in the area of construction law, from a reputable law firm or in-house environment
- Strong drafting, advisory and litigation skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to think outside the box
- Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Ability to work in a high performing team
- Passion, drive and enthusiasm
