**A bit about the role**

As **Ageing Well Sector Development Officer **you will support the development, implementation and evaluation of Council's policies, plans and initiatives related to Positive Ageing.

This role will see you engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the development of asset-based and community-led projects that support sector capacity building to ensure that older residents, particularly those at risk of experiencing isolation and adversity have access to the supports they require.

Lead the development and implementation of partnerships and networks with aged care providers and community groups to support sector capacity building.

**What you will deliver**
- Support in development, implementation and evaluation of Council's policies, plans and initiatives related to positive ageing.
- Analysis and regular updates on current and emerging social issues and initiatives (Local, State or Commonwealth) that could impact on Wyndham’s ageing community to inform the development of advocacy strategies and activities.
- Participation locally and regionally based committees and networks with an impact on ageing well and maintain relationships with key stakeholders relevant to ageing well and reablement
- The development and implementation of partnerships and networks with aged care providers and community groups to support sector capacity building.

**What you will bring**
- Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline such as social sciences, public policy or related field with some relevant experience; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience; or through substantial relevant experience in the field of community development or community engagement
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to undertake projects and achieve joint outcomes.
- Demonstrated project management skills including monitoring and evaluation of outcomes
- Strong skills and experience in report writing, data analysis and social research.
