**About the Role**
Reporting to the BI Platforms & Data Manager, the Data & Visualisation Analyst will join a high performing team to partner with the Finance, HR and Regulatory Reporting function across the BOQ Group to deliver data led solutions.

The Data & Visualisation Analyst will work on the analysis, development and enhancement of the BOQ Group finance and HR reporting suite to support the delivery of high standard, professional quality reporting to drive business insights and efficiencies.

This is a challenging and exciting role with a wide range of reporting opportunities and a variety of data sources contributing to our reporting platform. BOQ has invested heavily in the latest cutting-edge data and analytics capabilities to support the business' rapidly evolving demand for insights and analytics and this role leverages many of these new resources.

**Data Analyst**
- Model & publish Enterprise Semantic data models including data cleansing, calculations, relationships, and row-level security
- Maintain secure access for data artefacts
- Validate data quality and accuracy, and aid with resolution of data discrepancies
- Adhere to policies for ensuring that organisational data is secure, protected, and well-managed as an organisational asset

**Visualisation Analyst**
- Create and publish Data Visualisations, Reports, and Dashboards for Finance and Management / Regulatory Reporting
- Build productive relationships with stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions are appropriate, effective and meet the needs of the business, including senior management.
- Organise and assist in the running of Data Visualisation forums or showcases for multiple business stakeholders.
- Maintain secure access for reporting artefacts
- Publish Branding, Style Guides & Self-Serve Power BI Templates
- Work with Subject Matter Experts on report validation and quality assurance
- Ability to upskill, mentor and train business users across the functions in Power BI tools, along with providing technical support and resolving queries for the internal Power BI Community

**Additional Hub Support Responsibilities**
- Contribute to internal documentation, FAQs, and best practices available in the centralised portal
- Produce user templates, resources, and good examples users can learn from
- Host activities to encourage knowledge sharing by internal community members
- Handle communications to user community
- Monitor internal discussion / Q&A channel
- Provide escalated user support, coordinated with Power BI service desk support
- Monitor the Power BI release plan & its impact
- Certify and approve content (in conjunction with SMEs)
- Assume ownership transfers
- Curate links, develop, and deliver training content and/or coordinate training needs for the Power BI Community
- BAU Support

**About you**
- **Extensive Business intelligence and Analytics experience**:

- 3+ years’ experience with Power BI (Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service) within a large organisation, including administration, architecture, design, implementation, support, dashboard development, visualisation, and data modelling (Star schemas). Also a solid understanding of the end-to-end Modern Data Warehouse Architecture on Azure.
- **Bachelor's Degree in Technology** - education with data related coursework or another equivalent field; an advanced degree in any of these, or related fields is preferred
- **A sound working knowledge of existing, new, and emerging Data trends** - and the benefits derived from these
- **Solid business acumen**:

- with ability to understand and anticipate business needs to provide appropriate Data Business Intelligence & Analytics guidance.
