**The Role**

Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Contact Centre Design Data team, Data Analysts contribute to the design and development of Contact Centre Branch data assets and infrastructure, and the maintenance and delivery of scheduled and ad hoc reports.

As part of a suite of enabling functions within the team, Data Analysts will provide sound advice, develop high quality reports, and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to develop data visualisation tools and meet reporting needs.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Responsibilities at the APS Level 5 may include:

- Provide support in the delivery of data to ensure agreed objectives are met, standards, timelines and stakeholder expectations are delivered upon.
- Working independently or under limited guidance to resolve complex or difficult data issues with the support of a team leader.
- Undertake research and analysis to develop and prepare a range of documentation such as correspondence, reports, briefings, presentations, and contract documentation.
- Provide support in the development and maintenance of project documentation such as project status reports, project management plans, schedules, and risk, issues and change registers in alignment with the DESE Project Management Framework.
- Support the drafting of written material and briefings for the executive.
- Developing and maintaining regular reports and dashboards.
- Investigating, extracting, analysing, and reviewing data.
- Providing input into briefs, reports, and other documents for executives and parliament.
- Support the development of data visualisation tools.
- Communicating data to influence decision making processes.
- Ensure reporting procedures for key reports are documented and maintained.
