Reporting Analyst

We are currently seeking a Reporting Analyst to support the Strategic Data Program (SDP), which includes the stand-up of the new Cloud Data and Analytics Platform (CDAP).

Our client is a leading Australian provider of high-voltage electricity transmission network services, combining innovation with insight to deliver safe, cost-effective, and reliable solutions.

**Overview**

The company is deploying it's Cloud Data and Analytics Platform hosted in Azure. This platform utilises Snowflake as the Data Warehouse which is the enabler for operational reporting through Tableau. As they look to migrate the reporting to the new platform, they’ll be leveraging more of Tableau’s core functionality such as Hyper extracts during the process.

**This role will be responsible for**:

- Re-pointing existing workbooks from the on-premise SQL server to Snowflake
- Generating Hyper extracts for re-pointed workbooks, where required
- Updating permissions as per our permission framework
- Providing performance and design recommendations based on our stack and requirements
- Updating the Tableau server schedules and assigning to the extracts
- Testing of existing vs. repointed workbooks for UAT documentation
- Visualisation requests from the business through SDP

**Key Skills**
- An experienced Visualisation / Reporting Analyst with proven skills in Tableau and Tableau server
- Preferable to have exposure connecting to Snowflake
- Proven ability to story tell through visualisations and to be able to make recommendations into best practices (functional and non-functional)
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, ability to manage stakeholders to achieve UAT sign off
- Evidence of ability to proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers
- Requirements gathering and management through stakeholder workshop facilitation, questionnaires, and interviews
- A diligent and conscientious approach to completing work on time and to an agreed acceptable level of quality is required
- Able to work in an Agile structured program
- Experience working with teams across several locations through remote working
- Experience working in a mid-sized enterprise environment, successfully aligning solutions appropriately with wider roadmaps, architecture, and other initiatives
