About the opportunity

Elders has invested $25 million to establish a world-first, wool handling business and is looking for a warehouse supervisor to provide hands-on support to the Operations Manager in our newly built, state-of-the-art, warehouse.

Day to day, you will be integral in overseeing warehouse operations to ensure workflow is performed safely and efficiently to maximise throughput and ensure a seamless experience for our customers.

This is a newly created full-time, permanent position and would suit an experienced, team player who is solutions-focused and promotes a positive workplace culture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, processing, storing and dispatch
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of bales to meet volume targets
- Maintain inventory accuracy and conduct audits as required
- Coach and mentor warehouse staff to optimise performance and foster a positive culture that embraces continuous improvement
- Prepare reports and review data to track key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Resolve issues or discrepancies that arise in the workflow of the warehouse
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations

About you
- Extensive experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and promote a positive culture
- Solid understanding of warehouse processes and inventory management
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
- Forklift licence is essential
- Experience operating AGV’s would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the wool industry would be an advantage but not essential
