Our client is one of Australia's largest fashion retail department stores, who are on the hunt for an Operations Manager with a strong track record and outstanding organisational and management skills.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for researching, planning and coordinating the successful completion of projects and strategies.

This is your opportunity to make your mark and set up a new DC from the ground up

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Extensive experience in logistics and operations management.
- Plan, manage and evaluate operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
- Prepare and present operating budgets & plans for review by the executive team
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
- Contributing to and implementing the company's medium
- and long-term strategic plan
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and equipment

**About You**:

- An inspirational, hands-on problem solver who will lead from the front.
- 5+ years experience in logistics operations / warehouse operations
- Experience managing large teams
- ~100 team members
- Proactive, problem solver, and skilled decision-maker.
- Strong leader with the ability to take ownership of the role and hold teams accountable
- Experience setting up new processes across: warehousing, policies and procedures, shipping/freight, identifying operational efficiencies throughout the entire process.
- Raw DC experience
- A driven, self-motivated and passionate about operations
- A clear communicator & negotiator with the ability to influence and work well with a variety of people
