The Head of Data Technology Capability is a critical role as we evolve our audience and data commercialisation products. Central to our current product offering is our audience insights and targeting platform, News Connect. The role will further enhance our product by taking ownership and driving our audience and data product roadmap.

**What’s the role?**
- Lead a cross functional team of business analysts, data scientists and delivery managers to drive the delivery of the Client and Product Strategy roadmap.
- Provide vision and direction to stakeholders and your team to ensure alignment for success.
- Partner with engineering delivery teams including from News Technology, Ad Tech and external vendors to achieve your objectives.
- Work directly with stakeholders in sales, end clients, data partners and vendors.
- Product owner for the audience data product including how we track, profile and target users with personalised advertising.
- Build new products for our customers to help them plan and execute their ad campaigns by reaching the right audiences and how to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns.
- Provide technical direction / guidance on how we can best work with vendors and partners to onboard new audiences.
- Provide insights and/or new types of measuring capability.
- Act as an adviser on current technology trends to maintain an innovative edge.

**Who you are**
- Product management knowledge.
- Technical background in either data engineering or data science.
- Strong knowledge of DMPs and CDPs and their use in an publisher environment.
- Understanding of the ad and marketing tech ecosystems.
- Understanding of modern machine learning techniques.
- Experience in software delivery including working knowledge of agile delivery frameworks.
- Experience managing a cross discipline team.
- Ability to think outside the box.
- Thrive in a fast paced environment and drive outcomes using cross divisional teams.
- Experience working on cloud technologies like Azure, AWS and GCP is desirable.
