Head of Technology

Reporting to the ING Australia CIO, the Head of Technology Data, Analytics & AI is a key new role in the CIO leadership team to support our ambitious growth agenda and a number of exciting programs to be delivered.

**What are you going to do? You will be responsible for**
- Partner with Business and IT leaders in maturing and executing the Data strategy and uplifting operational excellence capabilities for ING Australia
- Executing and developing the operating model for the strategic cloud data platform, establish and operationalise the AI/ML capabilities for ING Australia
- Leading the execution and oversight of projects, other change initiatives and BAU activities for the Data, Analytics and AI team
- Lead and set the direction for Data Governance, Data Management, Data Protection, Analytics and Reporting capabilities aligned to the future state data vision
- Work closely with the global and local IT teams, global Data Office, local Data Protection Officer, Tribe leads, Centre of Excellence to help power the business and drive innovation using data, promoting the management and value of data as a corporate asset, and effectively managing data risk
- Manage the finance for the Technology Data, Analytics and AI function ensuring financial targets are met
- Provide people leadership and direction to both internal and external resources and manage an organisation of IT and IT partners
- Drive an uplift in risk culture within the Technology function and ensure that the Data function operates within risk appetite

**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Proven experience in delivering and management of public cloud Data Platforms/Data Lakes
- Proven experience in introducing and embedding Machine Learning and AI capability within an organisation context
- Strong understanding of methods and techniques appropriate to BI, Data Modelling, Data Governance, Data Risk
- Customer focused with experience in building strong partnerships across business units and IT
- Understanding of information security requirements, processes and cyber security threats and controls
- Proven experience in leading experienced and diverse technology teams in driving technology strategy and managing large complex programs and IT BAU technology operations
- Demonstrated capability to build a high performing and engaged teams
- Understanding of technology risks and controls and the regulatory environment impacting the Retail banking business
- Proven experience in managing different stakeholder groups at all levels including executives
- Experience in effectively working with Agile and DevOps delivery methodologies
- Proven experience with strategy development and execution
