**The Role**:
Due to growth within our organisation we have a number of exciting full time, part time and fixed term opportunities within our Waterways & Catchment Operations team. These roles will be working across Melbourne and our wider catchment areas, these include: Peninsula and Koo Wee Rup team based from our South East Regional Office, and our Western teams based at our Brooklyn Depot, as well as our Central team based from our North East Regional Office in Croydon.
These various roles include Leading Hands, Environmental Field Crew, and Maintenance and Civil Crew. You will be working along Melbourne’s beautiful waterways and wetlands across the regions, in customer facing roles that contribute to enhancing the livability for all Melbournians. These roles will see you working alongside other environmental enthusiasts to deliver the maintenance project works across our waterways and land assets. Your ability to take care of your colleagues and your own Health & Safety will see you succeed within this role.

**People**:
**Your Skills and Experience**:
- Experience in natural resource management or civil asset maintenance/project works is highly regarded
- Problem solving skills, including the ability to deliver the appropriate outcomes
- Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people both within Melbourne Water, external organisations and with the general public
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations
- Ability to work proactively as a member of the team, contribute fully to team decision-making and take responsibility for own role in ensuring the safety of all team members and other personnel on site
- Proven ability to work and contribute in a team environment to improve processes, respond to various demands and manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience and capabilities working with and leading a team in a civil, natural resource management and/or land management, construction/maintenance environment. (Leading Hand roles only)
- Accountable for meeting specified quality, timeliness, budgetary and compliance requirements. (Leading Hand roles only)
- Chainsaw qualification and chipper use will be highly regarded
- Heavy rigid license, hoe and excavator tickets would be an advantage
- A Coxswain certificate would be highly regarded
- A valid Victorian Driver’s license is required for these roles
