**Your new company**

Hays has partnered with a Council in Western Sydney to find experienced Animal Attendants to join their premiere animal re homing centre on a casual, ongoing basis.

**Your new role**
- Monitor and provide care for impounded animals.
- Clean and maintain kennels, catteries and surrounding areas.
- Feeding and watering all animals.
- Observe and report on the health of animals held to the Animal Welfare Officer.
- Administer basic oral medications as instructed.
- Assist with the movement of animals during their impounding and/or release as required.
- Assist customers with the identification of animals in the kennel/ cattery area.
- Manually handle animal faeces.
- Undertake a daily check of the kennel and cattery areas, self-watering devices in the kennels, kennel.
- Carry out microchipping of companion animals.
- Assist in the health checks, vaccinating, medicating, and worming of impounded animals as required.
- Participate in the council’s after-hours emergency service when required.

**What you'll need to succeed**

In this role you will need to have:

- Minimum Certificate 2 In Animal Studies.
- Experience of handling animals in a similar role.
- Current Class C Driving Licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- X3 COVID Vaccinations
