We are currently looking for a talented Commercial Consultant to join our Advisory Services business, based in either our Canberra or our Melbourne offices.

The Commercial Consultant position will see you work within a dynamic Business Support Unit, supporting Tasking which is integrated with the Department of Defence to manage contracted support to defence systems.

As the Commercial Consultant your key responsibilities will include:
Contract management and reporting

Drafting contract and finance approval documentation

Undertake strategic analysis and contribute to strategic planning, business planning and delivery Maintain

Build and ,maintain Collaborative relationships with stakeholders

Support to finance Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the development of budgets and cost models

Interpret and advise on Governance controls, such as export controls and intellectual property

To be successful in the role of Commercial Consultant you will need to bring with you:
A Bachelors Degree in a commercial field, such as business, accounting, law or a related field

Experience in a commercial team, preferably in Defence Industry or a Government Department

An understanding of strategic procurement concepts including collaboration in contracting

An understanding of the broad commercial role and how the elements relate

The capability to work with both financial and contracting concepts

An understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules is desirable

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels

Demonstrated acute attention to detail
