**Merchandise Planner**

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Merchandise Planner is responsible for the end to end Inventory Management of Category of Products within Amart.

This includes Forecasting, Purchase Order recommendations, Capacity Planning, Price elasticity, and Category Analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure sales and margin forecast targets are met, identify gaps and provide advice to rectify.
- Ensure future Inventory targets are met, and OTB budgets adhered to (Merchandise Planning), identify issues and provide actions to rectify.
- Ensure DC/Store Capacity SOH level are adhered to, identify issues and provide actions to rectify.
- Support the business with ad-hoc analysis and project involvement.
- Item level demand forecasting & Work closely with Buyer to ensure alignment of product launch & discontinuations, reducing any gaps/overlaps with new vs old products.
- Collect historical data for modelling impacts on demand.
- Measure, analyse & report to ensure adherence to Key Performance Indicators & targets.
- OTB/SOH levels.
- DC Capacity.
- Analysis of the Category Sku count, Price points, Margins and Sales.
