Building our Talent
Working across our high-profile, large-scale construction projects you will join an experienced team that understands the importance of a collaborative, focused and results driven working environment. We are currently searching for a high calibre Graduate Safety Coordinator who is ready to develop their career as part of our Safety Group in ACT specifically on our Canberra Hospital Expansion Project. As a member of the team, you will provide assistance to existing Safety Coordinators in all aspects of safety management in ACT.
Key Accountabilities:

- Assist the group in ensuring that the safety system is critical risk focused at all times
- Provide continual improvements to the safety operating system
- Review incident statistics and report on any patterns and learning's
- Identify cost effective solutions for project WH&S issues
- Provide professional WH&S advice to site based personnel
- Routinely attend project site safety walks and safety meeting
- Assist with the production of the monthly WH&S report
- Conduct subcontractor WH&S audits to ensure compliance
- Liaise with other stakeholders (Union personnel, WorkSafe, Government Authorities, WorkCover, adjacent businesses and occupiers)

Key Skillset Required:

- Experience within the construction industry
- Sound knowledge of applicable legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and other relevant documentation
- Knowledge of risk management
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS&E (or equivalent)
- Qualification in Workplace Training & Assessment
- Willingness to learn and gain as much knowledge as possible
