**What is SEO first?**

SEO first means that everything Sod builds is designed to be accessible for both users and robots. It means really understanding the goal of a search engine and the guidelines underpinning search engine algorithm updates. It means understanding SEO data and using it to craft experiences. It means a concerted effort between SEO, Content, UX and Development to satisfy user intent and achieve measurable outcomes.

**We are looking for**:

- Familiar with SEO and web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs
- Conducting thorough website audits and keyword research to identify optimisation opportunities and target audience intent.
- Strong understanding of on-page and off page SEO techniques
- Experience in leading a team
- Experience advising executives and clients on SEO strategies and campaigns to reach target markets
- Experience with planning SEO strategies which lead to organic growth and revenue
- Ability to keep on top of market trends and latest SEO updates to ensure compliance and leverage emerging opportunities.

**If you were working in this role last week, you may have**:

- Presented your SEO strategy to a new client and communicated the findings and recommendations in layperson's terms
- Worked closely with our UX team to design a high-converting landing page that factors in SEO insights and ultimately satisfies user intent and generates conversions
- Briefed our developers on a series of required technical updates to ensure crawlability of paginated URLs on a JavaScript-heavy eCommerce site
- Published a super high-quality article after briefing one of our copywriters on what exactly is required to outrank our client's competitors
- Listened to a relevant podcast and reported back to the team on key learnings and things we can incorporate into our SEO service to make sure we're always on the cutting edge

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification.
- Minimum proven experience of 3 years full time experience.
- Has a positive Skills Assessment
- Has a minimum English language ability score of 6 each in PTE or IELTS at Competent level with the ability to create reports, briefings and presentations externally and internally.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
