Job Title: Test Manager - Utilities/Energy

Contract: 12-mon ths (possible exention)

Daily Rate: $990-$1100 inc super

About the Role:
As a Test Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the testing process for software solutions within the utilities/energy sector. You will be responsible for developing test strategies, overseeing test execution, and ensuring the delivery of reliable and high-quality products. Your expertise in the utilities/energy and/or consultancy industry will enable you to understand specific industry requirements and challenges.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the testing process, including test planning, test case development, test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans to ensure thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to understand project goals and requirements.
- Take a hands-on approach in developing test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify test dependencies to mitigate potential issues.
- Define and implement appropriate test methodologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Mentor and provide guidance to the testing team, ensuring their continuous growth and development.
- Coordinate with offshore teams, if applicable, to ensure smooth execution of testing activities.
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Manager, leading the testing process for software solutions in the utilities/energy and/or consultancy industry.
- Strong understanding of the utilities/energy and/or consultancy industry, including its specific requirements and challenges.
- Hands-on experience in test case development, test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.
- Familiarity with SAP systems and modules, with the ability to work on SAP testing projects (previous SAP experience preferred).
- Knowledge of testing tools such as ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) or similar.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a testing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or similar certifications are desirable.
