We are currently seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead a critical Workday Payroll and parallel payroll testing initiative as part of a large-scale HR and Payroll transformation. This role is pivotal in managing the end-to-end testing effort across multiple pay cycles, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance during the transition to Workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall test strategy, governance, and approach for Workday Payroll and integration streams.
  • Lead all parallel payroll testing activities, ensuring accurate results across multiple payroll cycles.
  • Oversee end-to-end testing phases — SIT, UAT, Regression, and Parallel Runs.
  • Manage stakeholder communication between business, HR, Payroll, and IT teams.
  • Drive defect triage, risk management, and reporting to senior program leadership.
  • Provide leadership and direction to test teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Coordinate test planning, environment readiness, and test data management.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager on Workday Payroll or large-scale HR/Payroll transformation projects.
  • Strong background in parallel payroll testing, data reconciliation, and payroll validation.
  • Deep understanding of payroll processes, taxation, and superannuation frameworks.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across business and technical domains.
  • Hands-on exposure to integration testing with HR, Time & Attendance, and Finance systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage distributed teams.
