WAM Australia is searching for a driven **Service Supervisor** and **Sector Manager for Building and Construction **to join our dynamic team in Sydney. WAM Australia is a market leading Supplier of Materials Handling equipment to a diverse range of sectors: Cement & concrete, Plastics & Chemicals, Food & Water/Waste Water treatment and we are experiencing strong growth in our existing service division and require a new team member to grow our business.
To be the next Wam Australia successful Sector Manager, you should be able to develop an excellent rapport with your existing customers and source new clients. A top-notch technical sales representative should be knowledgeable about competing products and should have the ability to break down technical terminology to non-technical clients.
Additionally, the role is responsible for providing technical repair and service work either in a facility or in the field. May install and service a wide range of hardware depending on the technician’s specific industry. His responsibilities include diagnostic review, repair and replacement of parts as well as the replacement and installation of equipment.
- Operating independently & within a team in the field, servicing plants for a range of existing customers on a regular basis.
- A knowledge of Dust Collectors and Silo equipment would be an advantage however not essential as training is provided
- A self-motivated individual, with the ability to work unsupervised.
- A technical or mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Australian Citizen or Australian permanent Residency Visa.
- Current Victorian Driving license
- Good computing skills with the ability to write accurate reports
- Good communications skills.
- Good customer relations skills.
- White card, EWP and Working with Heights, preferable but not essential as training is available.
- Ability to work overtime on weekends to perform maintenance & servicing of plants during shutdown periods.
- Installing new hardware and complex products while ensuring that they work correctly and safely
- Educating the hardware users about the correct use and upkeep of their products
- Repairing broken-down or damaged equipment either in the field or at a diagnostic and repair center
- Assessing hardware and installation functionality and preparing reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed
- Persuading customers to invest in necessary replacements or vital repairs to key components and hardware devices
- Handling customer relations in a professional and friendly manner
- Explaining complex installation, diagnostic and repair issues in a way that it is accessible to a nontechnical audience
- Canvasing the market for new customers
- Prepare quotations and documents
- Attend & participate in trade shows
- Calling on customers and filling the CRM
- Travel to assigned sites and carry out service work requested.
- Display and demonstrate an appropriate level of professionalism at all times.
- Develop and maintain relationships with site personal.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems when requested to do so.
- Attend industry functions and Trade shows if requested to do so.
- Prepare service reports.
- To provide detailed information and plant layouts to help with quotations.
- To maintain a company vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
- Provide technical information and services to clients relating to use, operations and maintenance of equipment.
- Provide Technical training to clients when required.
- Explore new market places with the intent to sell WAM Equipment.
- Be flexible to help out with other activities at WAM
- Effectively manages team members, including technicians and advisors, to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out
- Displays extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered
- Offers exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by upselling products and services and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally
- Assists with or performs administrative tasks
- Develops working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, and ensures service department adheres to all regulations
- Sets up and maintains service desk, including managing service desk team members and evaluating desk efficiency
- Resolves service desk problems and improves current service desk methods to increase productivity and customer service
- Monitors department issues and client complaints to define patterns and work to lessen those recurring issues
- Regularly audits work being done and customer service being provided to ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly
