APG is currently seeking an experienced Advertising Manager for a 12 Month contract within a Sydney CBD Government Sector.

**$81.65 p/h+ super**

**Key accountabilities of the role**
- Develop and implement communication strategies to address key issues that may impact EPA’s objectives and internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice to staff and managers dealing with situations involving the media and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational communication programs, policies and guidelines to support EPA staff to undertake considered and consistent stakeholder engagement activities.
- Develop, plan and implement social media initiatives that build awareness of and support the implementation of EPA corporate strategies, plans and objectives, including analysing and monitoring the ongoing accessibility and effectiveness of social media platforms.
- Develop and review communication materials suitable for the media and other stakeholders to promote the work, activities and objectives of EPA.
- Develop high quality written material for a range of audiences ensuring the EPA and its programs are appropriately positioned to key stakeholder groups.
- Plan and implement high quality public relations campaigns, including the management of launches and media events to effectively position EPA in the community, media, government and business sectors.
- Monitor and analyse media reports relating to the EPA’s work to assist with identifying potential issues, including issues that may impact the EPA’s reputation.

**Inherent requirements of the role/Essential Skills and Experience**
- Experience in issues management, journalism and/or communication planning.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the EPA’s regulatory role and knowledge of the workings of government, parliament, legislative processes and public sector principals.
- Knowledge and experience working with the media, particularly key print and electronic media.
- Knowledge and understanding of new communication technologies and social media.
