Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region.

An opportunity is now available for a Dental Officer to join the Oral Health team, located at our Blue Mountains Dental Clinic, situated in Katoomba. This is a Temporary Full time role until October 2025.

Your role as Dental Officer is to provide a high standard of general oral health care, including oral health education, to eligible patients resident in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD). You will undertake a thorough oral examination, including examination of soft and hard tissues, for each patient allocated to you and develop an appropriate treatment plan for each patient under your care, after informing and discussing with each patient his/her treatment needs, treatment options and consequences of treatment/non treatment.

Working in the Oral Health Clinic will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Registered as a Dentist, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated sound clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public
- A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventive / population health approach to patient care
- A demonstrated ability to work within a large team
- A demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa._
