This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Engineering team in Adelaide. Here they will draw their previous management experience to develop and support a dedicated workshop, whilst fostering an outstanding safety culture.
**As the Workshop Manager your responsibilities will include**:
Oversight and management of a dedicated workshop in support of Explosive Ordnance Projects
Lead the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool
Manage the servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the Workshop
Drive safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance with all workshop users
Provide technical input to support user requirements
Develop or maintain documentation including Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, Equipment
maintenance procedures
Potential support to customer training and competency management
Significant manufacturing/production experience leading safety-critical technical operations
Relevant trade qualification(s) - certified mechanical/electrical technician (essential)
Certificate IV WH&S certification (preferred)
Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi discipline workshop environment (essential)
Demonstrated experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworks
Experience leading improvement processes implementations e.g. Lean, Six Sigma
Ability to engage positively
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold or have recently held an NVI Australian Defence security clearance
