**Your new role**
The branch is seeking an experienced and confident APS6 officer to provide administrative, project management and policy support to the National Governance Secretariat, assisting in the coordination of the subcommittees.

The role entails working in a small team to facilitate the coordination of national projects, commissioned and endorsed by the Senior Officials Committee, implementing national frameworks and policies that assist communities with natural disaster resilience, relief and recovery.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- demonstrated program, project and/or contract management skills and expertise
- secretariat experience for ministerial and senior officials committees
- understanding of relevant government policy, legislative and financial frameworks including Commonwealth procurement and Grant rules and guidelines
- strong oral and written communication skills to clearly advise and influence stakeholders and decision makers
- excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- sound research, analytical and problem solving skills
- excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high quality work within tight timeframes
- the ablity to work independently and collaboratively to manage competing priorities and be resilient, responsive and flexible
- Integrity, initiative and high level of personal responsibility.
