**About the role**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Process and Risk Manager to lead the operational excellence and business process management across the Energy Solutions business in Australia and New Zealand.
Ampol’s Energy Solutions business has established operational excellence and business process frameworks to enable business activities. These frameworks satisfy broader Ampol process and governance requirements as well as ensuring the business build is delivering safe and scalable operations. This will continue to be critical to the Energy Solutions business division, its success, and excellent outcomes for our customers.

**Key responsibilities**
- Steward the business process architecture for Energy Solutions and ensure continued operating model alignment as the business build progresses, in conjunction with and directed by business leadership.
- Steward business process governance, across key levers, assessed for maturity and maintain an effective governance framework (ownership and practices)
- Lead cadence to ensure a timely flow of information and decision making in business build to deliver executed process design that delivers business outcomes.
- Ensure the Business Process Management Office is resourced and implementation of build across three key areas being Knowledge Management, Execution and Management of Change (MOC)
- Deliver the Execution plan for business process build, supporting the ability for Energy Solutions to scale operations Support the business in maintaining a clear view of process interrelationships.
- Lead process improvement activities using continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma
- Oversee enterprise risk reviews within Energy Solutions in alignment to the Ampol Risk Management Framework (ARMF) including preparation of Board papers.
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to Ampol’s Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) within Energy Solutions including documentation of business unit specific processes and standards.
- Lead the Energy Solutions Emergency Management Team (EMT) in the role of Champion.
**About you**
We are looking for individuals with a ‘’continuous improvement’’ and process driven mindset; able to manage and navigate ambiguity, complexity, and uncertainty; utilising structured problem-solving techniques as we build up our capabilities in the energy space.
This role is open to applicants with full working rights preferably based in Sydney, NSW; however, Brisbane, QLD or Melbourne, VIC will be considered with a willingness to travel/attend different client visits and/or conferences all over the country and NZ.
**Key skills and experience**
- Essential: Tertiary qualification in project management, business management, accounting, engineering, or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge
- Experience in leading business process build across systems and people with a focus on efficient, streamlined and technology enabled operations, in either commercial or consulting roles.
- The ability to conceptualise, develop and implement complex systems and business process in a dynamic environment implementing Change Management perspectives/tools.
- Understanding of technology enabled solutions to deliver best in class business build in terms of efficiency and optimisation.
- Leadership skills in driving and delivering outcomes including effectively implementing change.
