**Payroll Officer - Part Time**

**Job Details**

The Altara Group is an aviation and hospitality focused recruitment and employment services organization. We are seeking expressions of interest from appropriately experienced Payroll Officer to be based at our Head office in Melbourne’s inner North.

Working alongside our Finance and Payroll team, you will be part of a dedicated and passionate team that is responsible for implementing significant end to end payroll functions for our cabin crew and hospitality based staff.

We are looking to appoint a Payroll Officer to join our team based in Essendon. This is a part-time role, with several flexible work arrangements available.

**Key Responsibilities include**
- End to end payroll function for the Company for assigned Client/s
- Payroll processing and reporting
- Processing payroll tax
- Superannuation reporting and processing
- Managing Work Cover finance arrangements
- Award interpretation
- Reporting of superannuation details to super funds in accordance with legislative requirements
- Timely reporting of payroll tax (as required by relevant States)
- Timely reporting of Workcover wages and reconciliation
- Interpreting payroll data and ensuring employees, Contractors are paid as per their employment agreements / arrangements
- Processing and reconciling payroll by the required deadlines (including revenue vs cost analysis)

**The Person**:

- Prior experience in a similar role processing high volume payroll is preferred
- A strong understanding of working with Modern Awards
- Strong keyboard skills
- Proficiency in Excel is essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with external and internal clients
