Who we are
Saint Hotel, based in St Kilda has been a landmark of Fitzroy Street since its establishment in 1915. The iconic building has recently undergone a complete restoration and refurbishment and is elated to be open to the public once again in the new year. With a heritage facade, and multiple offerings - Saint Hotel will reinvigorate the Fitzroy Street strip. The venue is split across two levels, with three bars, including a modern public bar, a semi al fresco bar and an elegant cocktail lounge. Showcasing modern Australian food with a strong focus on charcoal grill and seasonal Victorian produce, Saint Hotel will provide elevated and varying food and beverage offerings in a luxe environment. Finally, Saint Hotel adds to its offer with a retail wine store where guests can also consume on sight for an additional cost with access to a reduced menu.

Experience and personal attributes
- Previous experience in reservations, functions, and/or events management
- Previous experience in sales desired but not essential
- Shares a strong passion for the hospitality and events industries
- Proven track record of effective selling techniques and client negotiation skills (not a necessity, but desirable for the role long-term)
- Excellent and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, and conflict resolution
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to assist and monitor events and functions from the initial planning stages, right through to the event itself and taking feedback post event
- Administrative and operational skills - strong time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while driving and motivating a team of junior reservation team members
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, provide support and training for our reservations and host staff members
- Communicate and manage reservations and functions information with a high attention to detail with both front and back of house management
- Conduct site visits and prepare function proposals for prospective clients, showing strong brand and product knowledge from initial conduct, right up until the day of the reservation or event itself and performing thorough post event follow up
- Ensure best practises for all enquiries is followed, increasing and maximising on revenue opportunities where possible
