Our client is a public research University based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The University has state-of-the-art facilities and is known for making a positive difference in the lives of its students, partners and communities.

**The **R**ole**

Leading a team of three HR professionals, you will be responsible for the continuous development of the team's performance and capability as well as focusing on operational efficiency, system controls and legislative compliance.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide strategic support and advice within HR services
- Develop and implement innovative policies and practices for continuous improvement
- Management responsibility, including allocating resources, setting & reviewing longer term performance criteria and objectives
- Interact with senior colleagues across the University & with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks that may have an impact on the university to enable appropriate and timely action to be administered.

**Skills and Experience**
- Strong management skills supporting operational system function in HR/Payroll or finance
- Demonstrated experience with providing technical support and troubleshooting with HRIS
- Use and understanding of Core HR systems | SAP, SuccessFactors, Workforce software, page up & People Pulse
- Ability to identify new developments in technology to benefit the HR systems
- Understanding of project methodologies & reporting tools such as Power BI, Crystal, spinifex.
