We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.
**IT Skills and Experience**
- Operate sites with a best-practice approach to health and safety.
- Provide professional advice and service to all areas of operation.
- Facilitate inductions and safety meetings.
- Provide internal safety observations, audits, and workplace inspections.
- Immediately notify the Site Manager of Health and Safety issues.
- Maintain and monitor all environmental site-specific issues.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing environmental health management plans and occupational health and safety plans.
- preparing and implementing plans and strategies for the safe, economic, and suitable disposal of commercial, industrial, medical, and household wastes.
- advising on and enforcing legislation, implementing prevention programs and strategies for communicable diseases, food safety, wastewater treatment, and disposal systems, recreation and domestic water quality, contaminated and hazardous substances, and minimizing air, sea, water, and noise pollution to improve health outcomes.
- Provide a high degree of safety and health support and advice to the operational departments of the site.
- Assist with the overall implementation of safety systems, strategies & initiatives.
- Provide facilitation, assistance, and guidance in incident investigations, HSE meetings, safety inspections of equipment, and work practices on the site.
- Assist in maintaining the HSEQ and training management systems on-site.
- Participate in high-level incident and accident investigations as required, including incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Safety and training administration, accurate data entry, and record keeping.
- Lead, facilitate, and participate in risk management processes for the Mine Site.
- End of month reporting.
- Assist in site Drug and Alcohol testing programs. training employees in personal protective equipment and safe working procedures.
- recording and investigating injuries and equipment damage, and reporting safety performance.
- coordinating the return of injured workers into the workplace About You - To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria.
- Construction site safety experience.
- Minimum of Certificate IV WHS including current first aid certificate.
- Strong understanding of WHSE site compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills.
- Positive attitude, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within an Open Cut mining experience
- Strong organization and computer literacy - Working knowledge of the mine’s safety inspection act.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Qualification in an incident investigation such as ICAM.
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence.
- A ‘can do’ attitude with a strong desire to succeed in the role and a passion for health, safety, environment, and community.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills

In-depth knowledge of:
- Windows OS (e.g. XP, Vista, Windows 7, 10)
- PC\Laptop hardware
- PC\Laptop peripherals, including printers
- Mobile devices
Basic knowledge of:
- Active Directory
- Exchange
- Apple OS
- SCCM
**IT Qualifications**
At least two of the following:
- PC\Laptop OEM Maintenance Certification
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification in the desktop area
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification
**Experience in a similar role**
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
