Commercial Manager

This role is key to ensuring financial and contractual success, working closely with the Project Director and Construction Manager to deliver strategic commercial outcomes. You’ll be responsible for managing risk, optimizing margin, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.-
- Responsibilities include but not limited to- Lead all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring financial performance and risk mitigation.
- Manage head contract obligations, variations, and claims to protect the business.
- Oversee procurement and subcontractor agreements, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial reporting to support decision-making.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and support commercial staff, fostering a high-performing team culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure all commercial activities align with company policies and audit requirements.- About You- Degree in a relevant discipline (preferred).
- Ideally 15 years’ experience
- Strong understanding of contracts, financial controls, and risk management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
