In the role of Principal Advisor (Project Management Capability Development) youwill;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of statewide project management capability development approaches, policies, support tools and services for TMR- Provide effective contract management and reporting of learning and development training providers. Support delivery of the TMR Project Management Training Program by providing effective management, advertising and communication services
- Guide and support TMR divisions in their efforts to improve project management capability development.Accountabilities include: - Support the strategic leadership and guidance to project management capability developments within TMR. Lead the TMR Learning Strategy component on Project Management Capability Development. Promote best practice organisational project management and a culture of learning and continuous improvement across TMR. Development of the state-wide methods and approaches for project management capability development. This will include managing the policies, practices, methods, tools, training and support services, for Project and Program Management across all phases of projects and programs and the different methodologies involved including OnQ, QGPjM, The Australian Policy Cycle & Managing Successful Programmes (MSP). Evaluate TMR's project management learning and development needs through a number of high level as well as operational level needs analysis covering areas such as: (1) Training, (2) Project Management Methodology, and (3) Project Officer/Manager skills in order to analyse, determine and action means to improve and mature TMR Project Management, and develop training materials aligned with organisational project management principles and practices. Developing and managing the TMR Project Management Training Program for project and program management and related functions. Develop and manage effective advertising and communication services to support delivery of project management learning and development capability services for Regions and Corporate areas of TMR. Provide specialist advice to TMR divisions and units on the requirements, selection and development of specific project management capability initiatives and training programs. Develop and maintain a strategy for Project Management Maturity Assessment capability, and capability in TMR to conduct independent program and project, Health Checks and Gateway reviews. Contract manage a Standing Offer Arrangement for Project Management Learning and Development providers to make operational the TMR Project Management Training Program. Manage the design and development of content for project and program management capability courses. Work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team to ensure relevant team objectives are achieved. Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.This role reports to the Manager (Project Management and Scheduling) and currently has no direct reports.
