
Country Sales Manager

Boart Longyear has been a leading provider of drilling products and services to the global minerals industry for over 130 years. As the industry’s only integrated drilling services and products provider, we combine engineering excellence, global manufacturing facilities and the most experienced drilling services group in the business.
Reporting to the Managing Director - APAC, the Country Sales Manager will be accountable for the Drilling Products Division sales budget as well as leadership of the Sales Team. Along with this, you will oversee customer service activities and distributor network and work closely with Technical Services, Regional Logistics, Country Logistics and Safety Teams. This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
**Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include**:
- Manage the country’s sales budget, ensuring targets are met and driving overall business growth.
- Analysis of financial reports and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Accountable for providing sales forecasting information across the product portfolio.
- Lead and mentor the Sales team to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Accountable and responsible for the management of the customer experience at Boart Longyear.
- Collaborate and work closely with the Technical Services, Logistics and Health and Safety Teams.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the distributor network to enhance market presence and product distribution.
- Accountable for sales and contract negotiation activities, including accurate assessment of customer needs and financial position, solution and offering design, pricing management and contract design.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define the country’s strategic direction and operational goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats.
- Work closely with marketing, finance, HR and product development teams to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional projects to drive innovation and improve business processes.
**A few other things we’re looking for**:
- Bachelor’s degree in mining, Industrial, Mechanical/electrical, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a commercial leadership role, preferably in related industry.
- Proven track record of budget management and driving sales growth.
- Strong understanding of logistics, customer service, and technical support functions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
