**What you will be doing**
As Solutions Architect - Deal Lead you will actively work to define solutions for the Managed Services business to take to market as well as assist with the identification and closure of Managed Services sales. The individual will work across various technologies, business units and associated products, providing solutions that meet DXC and client objectives.
The primary objective of this role is to position tailored Managed Services to existing and prospective clients and develop a thorough understanding of the client’s business needs and technology strategy and use this to define and build a solution that aligns with the client’s business and technology objectives.

**What will keep you busy**
- As a solutions architect you will be able to demonstrate strong client consultative engagement skills /with clients of varying complexity. This requires the ability to participate or lead in scope of work determination, services pricing models and analysis/responses to RFP/RFI’s
- Service model development - assisting the sales organisation through the development and selection of optimal solutions to meet ongoing client needs that are in line with industry best practice and standards
- Assist with risk mitigation by developing and understanding the cost drivers within an operational service, including those that build up fixed and variable costs of an operational support team
- Achieve service sales to meet specified financial targets. The solutions architect supports the sales team by providing proposals in line with specified client requirements to enable the understanding of the services offered by DXC
- The solutions architect establishes positive relationships with the client stakeholders and engage with them on a regular basis
- A strong vendor relationship is required to ensure an understanding of the vendor’s products business and services positioning
- The solutions architect will partner with the transition management team (or may undertake this themselves when required) to understand the client’s requirements with respect to moving the service from their internal department (or incumbent outsourcer) to being provided by DXC or its partner network
- Research and maintain an understanding of sourcing trends within the market and understand the role of people, processes and systems in the development of efficiencies within operational services
**The skills you will bring**
Critical
- Extensive experience as a solutions architect in an IT or MSP outsourcing organisation
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in services within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment across a range of services
- Experience in enterprise services and service delivery environments including technical and service management exposure
- Experience in leading multi-tower, complex deals from a technical solution and costing point of view.
- Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
- Required to have a working knowledge of ITIL, Prince2/AGILE and/or TOGAF with preference to executing in the environment
- Understanding of effective project and transition management
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and consulting with 3rd party vendors as well as large national/international cross functional teams
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation skills (specifically in resetting client expectations, realigning SLA/KPI’s, remapping business requirements etc)
- Demonstrated experience in writing business cases, proposals, statement of works, sales collateral, service catalogues etc.
- Proven experience in establishing and or running continuous improvement programs / transformation / transitions or consultative engagements with customers or internal business units

- Financial Management qualifications
- Organisational Change Management qualifications (i.e. AIM Methodology etc)
