We have an opportunity for a Finance Partner to partner with and provide financial guidance and support to the Merchant Services (MS) Domain within Business & Private Bank (BPB). The MS Domain is one of NAB’s key strategic domains with material investment in the domain to deliver on the multi-year Merchant Strategy. The MS Domain also includes the Hicaps business which is a NAB subsidiary that is also on a digital transformation journey with the recent acquisition of Lantern Pay.

The purpose of this role is to provide commercial financial leadership guidance and support to the business including financial planning, financial control, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and advisory services.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Support the translation of the Merchant Strategy into a functionally effective plan. Provide the overall direction the BPB/MS leadership team to ensure development and delivery of objectives and initiatives within the strategic parameters.
- Support the BPB/MS Executives in partnership with the Finance leadership team, to grow the business, align with our strategic ambition and ensure transformation/simplification benefits are achieved in a sustainable and coordinated manner.
- Understand, identify, and interpret financial results and business trends.
- Ensure accuracy of financial information (expenses, planning, forecast and benefits) including understanding of variances to plan.
- Collaborate to ensure simplification by ensuring all standard reporting and financial control activities are delivered in a one-way same way approach across Finance.
- Constructively challenging management’s proposals and decisions in relation to the performance of the relevant BPB/MS, providing advise to leadership teams on critical decisions and trade-offs.

**What you will bring**:

- High level of analysis and problem-solving skills driving commercial insights.
- Strong reporting, planning, financial control, and governance capability.
- Ability to synthesise detailed information and extract relevant key concepts.
- Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders while delivering results and proactive in meeting deliverables.
- Interested in growing and adapting their communication skills to prepare and deliver presentations within the business.
- Experience in utilising visualisation tools such PowerBI and Tableau.
- Knowledge across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting and financial control roles.
- Relevant tertiary degree in Accounting/Commerce/Business and CA/CPA qualified preferred.
