**About the Role - Emergency Management and Business Continuity Coordinator**

The Emergency Management and Business Continuity Coordinator is responsible for supporting Monash Health’s resilience capability, focusing on emergency management and business continuity, to ensure that safety is preserved and essential and critical services maintained. In this role you will work collaboratively with the Manager, Emergency Management and Business Continuity and other team members to develop and continually improve the Organisational Resilience Framework and Emergency Management and Business Continuity policies, procedures, methodology, tools and materials. The role will support business continuity and emergency incident coordination in collaboration with senior operational and corporate functions and committees. The role will also support continuous improvement of resilience awareness, knowledge and capability across the organisation. As part of the Emergency Management and Business Continuity team you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of areas and disciplines including:

- Emergency Management
- Business Continuity
- Project Management
- Program design
- Planning
- Research
- Evaluation and audit
- Compliance
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Training and Exercise development

**About You**

**Qualifications/registrations/licences (**_italics indicate desirable_**)**:

- 1-3 years experience working in business continuity, risk management, business resilience or emergency management.
- Relevant industry professional qualifications or certifications e.g. Certificate of Membership in the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) or equivalent, or willing to undertake same.
- Demonstrated understanding of organisational resilience including: risk management, emergency and business continuity management and continuous quality improvement.
- Full Victorian driver’s licence.
- _Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent, is desirable but not essential._

**_Highly desirable:_**
- _Operational working experience, particularly in a large health service._
- _Experience working within a values based organisation_
- _Project Management experience and/or qualifications_

**Technical skills/knowledge/experience**:

- Solid knowledge and understanding of Emergency Management.
- Genuine interest in business continuity, business resilience, risk management and quality improvement.
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the demonstrated ability to build and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports, analyse and present information using clear concise language, organise information into a logical sequence, and include content appropriate for the purpose and the audience.
