**Your new company**
The Engineering team working at this new hospital will be responsible for a broad range of assets including HVAC, Electrical, Infrastructure, Medical Gases, etc. The Asset Maintenance Officer role is diverse and will provide cross department exposure with a variety of stakeholders both internal (clinical and engineering), and external (contractors providing maintenance and repair services.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will align Asset Management Plans (AMPs) for the new VHH with the broader portfolio and to effectively manage and monitor maintenance contractors to ensure service delivery in accordance with their contractual obligations as well as ensuring defects are raised and address appropriately on assets and infrastructure during defects liability period.

Day to day you will;
- maintain statutory compliance on all assets
- assist with work order management and allocation
- assist with floor plans and drawings
- ensure assets data, records and entries are maintained accurately in the asset information management system

**What you'll need to succeed**
About you:

- relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Building Services
- eligibility for membership of a professional body such as "the Institution of Hospital Engineers Australia" or "the institute of engineers"
- Strong knowledge of statutory regulations and asset management principles applicable to buildings, building services and plant relevant to a health engineering
- sound knowledge of engineering maintenance management including understanding of plant/equipment operation and maintenance
- experience using Building Management Systems (Schneider, Johnson Controls etc.)
