A key player in the maritime industry is looking for an Asset System Manager to strategy to guide their team

**Your new company**

This state government organisation holds the primary responsibility of ensuring the secure passage of commercial vessels within the port waters of four major commercial ports in the state. As a key player in the maritime industry, the company's primary focus lies in serving the international and domestic maritime trade requirements of Victoria.

**Your new role**

To ensure assets are delivered, maintained and disposed so that investment is efficiently and effectively utilised, you’ll:

- Develop and maintain Asset Infrastructure standards for inclusion in construction and maintenance contacts.
- Maintain the Asset Management systems to ensure the requirements of all asset contracts are met and support Asset Engineers in maintenance contracts management.
- Supporting preparation of the asset strategy, asset management plans and procedures.
- Implement a change management program with relevant stakeholders to support the organisations asset management objectives across all asset classes.
- Develop short term and long-term asset renewal capital forecasts to meet the required service levels.

**What you'll need to succeed**

The qualifications and experience required for the position include:

- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or Information Systems with some relevant experience, or extensive experience with lesser formal qualifications.
- Extensive experience in Asset Management including strategy development, life cycle cost modelling, backlog maintenance, asset systems and maintenance planning.
- Experience in the preparation of Asset Management Policies, Plans and Asset Renewal Strategies.
- Experience in life cycle planning and Asset renewal forecasting.

**What you'll get in return**

- Primary site is Melbourne CBD, Occasional site visits will be required from time to time
- Generous rates commensurate to your experience, approx. $700 - $850 daily rate + SUPER.
