**About the job**:
In this lead role, you will ensure that detailed quality related activities are undertaken on the project, assuring that the product offered by the relevant project resources complies with the contractual requirements of the client and that the company IMS are fully implemented. Additionally, you will be responsible for safety and environmental controls for the Quality Control (QC) activities on site and ensure the approved Project Quality Plan (PQP) is being adhered to on site.

**Some of your responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- QC for Civil and Earthworks, Mechanical, Welding, E&I, Coatings and Local Fabrication and Repair work
- Identify QC resource levels and technical skills and ensure they are available to meet the Construction schedule and commissioning execution requirements.
- Ensure planned QC inspections are carried out on time and that any deviation from the Engineering deliverables, Specifications and Standards are identified, recorded and reported timeously to the Construction Manager.
- Follow up on any deviations that have been identified to ensure compliance has been achieved.
- Retain and maintain the required documentation for all necessary QA/QC activities
- Prepare the necessary weekly and monthly QC reports - as/when required
- Ensure the required competencies and work standards are maintained by the QC team and where necessary initiate training to augment their skills.
- Provide support and advice to the Construction team with respect to the Project Quality Plan and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Build and maintain relationships with NDT providers and other subcontracted testing and inspection contractors/vendors
- Participate and facilitate all site and contractor audits in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule.
- Ensure that follow up is carried out on all open issues pertaining to the IMS and report any open issues to the Construction Manager
- Assist with filing and development of Work Packs for handover
- Ensure all test documentation, records, as-builts and related commissioning and handover documentation are completed and are maintained, kept up-to date and are traceable and retrievable.

**To be considered**:

- Possess a relevant trade qualification or degree.
- AS 1796 Certificate 10 or equivalent for welding
- Held a position in a Quality Control supervision role previously
- General Construction Induction - CPCCWHS1001 Card or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas or similar process led industry
- Shall be fully conversant with applicable industry standards and specifications
- Knowledge of API welding standards
- Experience in oil and gas or similar process led industry would be advantageous
- Working Safely at heights
- Confined Space Entry
- Computer literate, familiar with proprietary administration software
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to motivate team members and self-manage
- Able to oversee the delivery of QC deliverables
