Key responsibilities
**The Principle Executive Officer key responsibilities are**:
- Monitor and coordinate effective management of departmental and ministerial correspondence including discussion papers, national responses, media enquiresand sponsorship requests for the Division. Critically analyse, research and quality assure documents to ensure the provision of client-focussed, high quality, accurate and timely responses to ministerial andexecutive correspondence. Provide an advisory and quality control service to support divisional staff on the preparation of briefings to the Director-General and Ministerial Office to ensurecompliance with relevant departmental and government-wide guidelines and procedures. Establish and maintain effective linkages with key stakeholders including the Ministerial Offices, Office of the Director-General and Office of the Deputy Director General, other directorates and regions with regard to ministerial and executive correspondence. - Provide high level advice, support, guidance and training to directorate officers responsible for the preparation of ministerial and executive correspondence and related documents.Your ability to stay informed of current matters, analyse information, influence, problem solve, and co-ordinate workflow is essential to your success in this role.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
