Job Purpose:
To provide competent, participant centric and compassionate service to differently abled participants and support them at home and in the community. Assist participants with daily living skills, community access and recreational activities to enable them live a life of quality and promoting choice and control in their daily activities. Take personal care of the participants and enable them to realise their goals in their NDIS plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Extend appropriate level of support to participants to improve their level of independent functioning including participation in the community.
- Assessing individual needs of client and the extent of difficulty, plan and implement training and support programs to address these needs.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of participant activities through case notes, progress reports and incident reports where applicable.
- Monitor, document and report progress of clients, refer them to agencies that provide additional support and assistance.
- Operate within the NDIS Code of Conduct and demonstrate safe work practices to drive an overall wellbeing of our participants.
- Address participant need concerning health, welfare, housing, employment, training and other services based on requirement.
- Support participants family emotionally and facilitate care for children or disabled person in matters of group housing, institutional care and educational or training needs.
- Participate in ongoing training offered by us and related institutions to drive sensitivity and continuous improvement in quality of services.

Skills and Specifications:

- Certificate III in individual supports will be essential along with NDIS workers screening check and working with children check.
- Assisting participants with medication, food handling, manual handling, First Aid and CPR certificates are essential.
- Covid19 Digital Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation Statement (3 doses) and valid driver’s licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Strong understanding of the disability sector, flexible work hours with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with strong command and fluency in English and Bengali languages.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 10 per week
