**Commercial Event Operations Coordinator**

Do you have experience managing venues within a heritage environment? We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Commercial Event Operations Coordinator who is interested in joining a leading NSW Government agency focused on creating a living future for the past so that our visitors can experience Sydney's past as if they had lived it themselves.

**What the opportunity is**:

- Employment with Museums of History NSW, NSW Department of Enterprise, Investment and Trade.
- Clerk Grade 5/6 - $110,711. Package includes salary ($89,707 - $98,982), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Temporary full-time employment up to one year
- The role will work across the Sydney area.

**What we do**
MHNSW brings together the museums, historic houses and associated collections previously in the care of Sydney Living Museums with the vast collection of more than 13 million items held by the former NSW State Archives. This includes one of the world’s most complete and important collections documenting colonisation.

**What you’ll do with us**
Manage the coordination and delivery of all facility and compliance related requirements for commercial venue hire spaces and commercial leaseholds to ensure a premium hospitality experience and to maximise revenue and visitation to Museums of History NSW properties.

**What the essential requirements of the role are**
- Experience working in venue management within a large heritage and cultural context and in coordinating venue hire facilities to meet statutory and industry related compliances.
- Knowledge and proven experience in financial management, project budget forecasting and reporting, venue utilisation and venue and audio-visual yield management.
- Ability to manage lifting, carrying, standing, kneeling, and moving around large sites in both internal and external environments.
- Current NSW driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work across and ability to travel to multiple work locations.
