**Your next Job**
“All day, every day, the best possible Mountain experience” is our mantra and as our Buller Sports - Rental & Retail you will be responsible for leading one of our largest departments with 100 Rental & Retail Team members at its peak in Winter.

Working year-round, you will be based at Mount Buller in Winter with the choice of Mountain, Mansfield and Melbourne Offices in Summer report directly to our General Manager. As part of our Senior Management Team you will plan and manage 13 different Ski Retail & Rental Outlets both on resort and off resort.
**What we’ll need from you**
As you establish yourself as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our leadership team we will need lead and oversee daily winter operations including Retail sales, Snowsports and Chain Equipment Rental, Fleet Maintenance, Daily Locker Rentals, Tuning and Repair Services.

Your key deliverables will be:

- Building, managing and developing a passionate team of nearly 100 Managers, Supervisors and Seasonal employees
- Managing the financial and procurement elements of the business unit including budgeting, creating and meeting sales targets in addition strategic stock procurement, pricing and management.
- Developing our brand through marketing strategic marketing initiatives, fostering the service culture that makes us the retail & rental choice for winter sports
- Produce and develop safety guidelines policies and procedures that make our mountain not only the greatest, but the safest place to work

What you’ll need to succeed*
We’re not looking for just anybody for this job, if you don’t share a passion for the outdoors and the active lifestyle we live and breathe; this might not be the role for you.

When you come on-board with us in January next year, you will need to bring the following with you to be successful:

- Significant previous experience in managing multi-outlet teams within the retail or rental industries, ideally in the snowsports sector or other peak seasonal working environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills to further build key relationships with suppliers, school groups and add strategic input to the wider Senior Management team.
- Strong written and verbal communications (English proficiency) skills for board and management reporting
- Well-developed interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Demonstrated experience in negotiation, budget management, estimating, financial reporting and data analysis with a focus on improving service and performance
- The ability to embody our customer service, guest centric focuses, demonstrable honesty and integrity values

Your previous tenure within the Ski Industry will be strongly regarded but not a perquisite. You will need to stay up to date on all new industry, products and trends to bring your knowledge to our mountain.
