About the Team

The role is part of the Client Policy Servicing and Collections team servicing Australia and New Zealand reporting into the Head of Policy Servicing and Collections Australasia. We are part of a wider Operations team and work closely with other AIG functions mainly Profit Centres, and Shared Services teams as well as being the first point of contact for external brokers. This role plays a vital part in the effective management of policy bookings and the reduction of unallocated cash balances which leads to better financial reporting and informed decision making.

About the role

The role is for a Client Policy Servicing team member dedicated to achieving mínimal booking issues for insurance premiums to assist with the reduction’s overdue receivables and unallocated cash. This role deals with both internal and external customers and involves taking the best course of action to resolve discrepancies and action queries.

This position is located in Melbourne.

What you need to know

Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:

- Act as the liaison between the profit centres, operations and the AIGSS KL team with regard to the Underwriting administration tasks performed in AIGSS KL. This will involve managing escalations, feedback, and requests
- Address queries that pertain to product, system & transactions specific to ensure effective resolution within a timely manner
- Be the key contact person between CPS Australasia, Operations, Profit Centres and the AIGSS KL team. This will involve being the escalation point for resolution of process queries, policy-specific queries as part of BAU activities i.e. bookings, unallocated cash etc.
- Conduct Quality Assurance Audits on CPS teams across CPS Australasia in addition to the standard QA processes to ensure processes are being adhered to and identify trends and opportunities for improvement & communicate plan with each team
- Review current processes to ensure continuous improvement and or process optimization can be achieved to establish ‘best practice’ that is standard across the CPS region. This will include understanding the effects of change to profit centre, AIGSS KL & CPS Australasia, and documenting decisions and changes to affected teams.
- Work within agreed decision-making standards, limitations and authorities
- To carry out your accountabilities and objectives within the framework of AIG Australia’s Regulator policy

What we’re looking for:

- Proven administration experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent Computer Skills, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with various including senior leaders, peers and other staff
- Analytical & Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well with others as well as work autonomously when required
- Able to balance numerous tasks and meet deadlines; possess excellent time management skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Have an understanding of the insurance industry (desired)
- Experience in offshore processing centres (desired)
