The Publicity Coordinator will provide administrative support to Common State’s publicity team, assisting in the delivery of all PR campaigns for our diverse portfolio of clients across our arts and major events portfolio. This role requires someone able to handle all administrative aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activity.

Daily responsibilities will include responding to media enquiries; media monitoring and reporting; preparation and management of media assets; development of press collateral; and management of external suppliers.

This is an entry level position and is ideally suited to someone looking to enter into arts and entertainment publicity. No prior experience is necessary, however, strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn are essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the publicity team with general administration tasks.
- Assist with media liaising.
- Research, create and maintain media contact database and lists.
- Coordinate the distribution of media releases and alerts.
- Coordinate the distribution of invitations and manage RSVPs.
- Research and generate ideas for media coverage across clients and campaigns.
- Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive interview schedules across clients and campaigns.
- Coordinate and manage the media accreditation process where applicable i.e. festival campaigns.
- Monitor media coverage, prepare regular press updates for clients, maintain media logs across projects, manage media clippings and assist in compiling reports.
- Maintain collateral filing systems for images, press kits, film screeners, trailers etc.
- Attend events and functions after hours to carry out media liaison duties and/or act as a Common State representative.
- Proof media releases and press materials.

- Ability to work as part of a small team as well as independently.
- Ability to think quickly and strategically as well as problem solve in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Confident phone manner, strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication skills.
