**Job Summary**

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

- To develop and implement the marketing strategy and budget for the NSW business.
- Managing and developing the marketing team
- To manage the development and distribution of all sales marketing and sales collateral for the business.
- To enhance communications with both internal and external stakeholders.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Develop and implement the marketing strategy, budget, and associated marketing programs to support business growth and development.
- Complete market analysis against key competitors particularly around product, price, buyer profiles, and market position.
- Provide recommendations on key areas identified as part of the competitor analysis report.
- Report and identify trends and issues arising from Client Surveys
- Create and recommend action/project plans for marketing and promotion of products.
- Plan and organise sales/marketing campaigns and assign tasks to researchers and writers.
- Undertake or commission research into public opinion, consumer trends and demographics as directed. Interpret and analyse the findings, project consumer trends and plan appropriate campaigns.
- Analyse and recommend marketing/sales policy and program changes in response to client needs, market changes, and industry developments.
- Develop and maintain specific purpose presentation materials including PowerPoint presentation templates, printed materials, and publications for use in the NSW business.
- Provide input for NSW into the image of the intranet and internet to ensure it supports the strategy.
- Organise presentations, promotions, events and product launches as required.
- Appraise, revise and select material submitted by external writers, photographers, illustrators and others.
- Communicate with media representatives and other publicity sources to promote products.
- Oversee the writing, development, production, publication and distribution of advertising, marketing brochures, press/news releases, sales materials or other promotional materials.
- Establish and maintain direct, ongoing relationships with key internal and external contacts.
- Represent the Division at external meetings and events as required.
- Research and compile informational and statistical data for reports on sales and marketing activities.
- Prepare, format and distribute reports.
- Monitor and update the marketing and advertising budget and prepare expenditure invoices for management approval.
- Coordinate authorisation and payment of invoices.
- Update and maintain databases, websites and intranet as required.

HSE Responsibility
- Demonstrating positive safety leadership by identifying opportunities, integrating and implementing our HSE strategies into business planning and operations
- The effective implementation of our HSE systems and to improve safety awareness in the workplace
- Participating in safety audits, inspections and for progress towards implementation of our HSE system in line with achieving our HSE goals & objectives
- Actively seeking, identifying and monitoring actions for improvement of safety performance

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Marketing

Experience
- Experience in brand marketing at a Marketing Manager level

Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent planning & organisation skills.
- Knowledge of marketing theories, principles and practices.
- Understanding of principles and practices of public relations, client motivation.
- Proficiency in record keeping, business letter writing and basic report preparation.
- Professional with strong organisational skills.
- Brand/product management
- Strong prioritising skills.
- Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised.
- Ability to manage work and meet deadlines
- Media industry contacts.
