Technical Services Admin Role, 3-6 Month contract, Immediate Start

**Your new role**
The primary purpose of this position is the co-ordination and administration of production and technical aspects of the preparation, planning and implementation of events and performances for venue management. The position works closely with Technical Services Manager to coordinate the Technical Service Teams activities to deliver audio, lighting, vision, staging, rigging and other technical production services for events in order to create an events ambiance and atmosphere and facilitate performances and concerts. There is also a high level of interaction with customers as in many cases they you will be the primary contact and/or follow-up.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- The ideal person will have 2 years’ experience (minimum) delivering audio-visual for events, or have worked in an admin role with significant audio-visual exposure.
- They will have a background in live performance events, or theatre, and experience in customer service.
- They will be experienced in business administration including providing quotations, collecting event details and information, coordinating schedules.
- They need to be organised, detail orientated, computer savvy with the ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple events.
- They need to possess a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer-service.
- We would not be opposed to a strong business administration person but they would have to be a quick learner in order to understand the complexities of the audio-visual world.

Key Accountabilities:

- Manage and oversee all information, including gathering details related to the customer's event; the completion of quotes, client requests for information; and the receipt of any other event -related documentation.
- Compilation, preparation and distribution of event paperwork for the team pre event day
- Administration support for the Technical service team.
- Liaise with other departments of the Council to support the production and technical requirements that may be required for events or as support to installed equipment where feasible.
- Administrate the financial aspects of the hirers event for Technical Services, including calculating final charges; providing accurate quotes; and ensuring payments are finalised in the system.
- Similar Industry Roles Ideally this person would work in audio-lighting for events or theatre or currently be an event administration / event coordinator elsewhere.

We are seeking to fill the role for 3-6 month period. The reason for the time period is to handle current demand. We will assess at the end of the year whether or not workload necessitates extension.
