Based in Dandenong South, DEUTZ Australia is one of the worlds major independent manufacturers of diesel engines and natural gas engines for industrial, mining, marine, energy and agricultural purposes, as well as spare parts and service for all DEUTZ engine products.

Due to departmental growth, an exciting opportunity presents itself for a Technical Product Support & Trainer.

Based in Dandenong South, you will be working in the DEUTZ Sales Team, and will be reporting to the Sales Manager.

**PURPOSE**

The purpose of the role:

- To assist the Engine Sales department with technical selection and modification choice.
- Provide Technical support for internal DEUTZ Australia offices.
- Provide Warranty support to Technical Manager.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide Application and Technical support to Sales Department, Dealers and OEMs.
- Co-ordinate and Provide technical product training and specialist product knowledge to dealer network and OEM's.
- Complete Dealer Audits annually
- Provide Technical support and clarification for engine sales department internally.
- Assist Engine Sales team with technical selection and modification choices.
- Warranty claim resolution between DEUTZ Australia and Dealers.
- Assist in problem solving and dispute resolution for both dealers and OEMs.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- Engineering/Diesel Fitter/Vehicle Mechanic experience.
- Technical Training on Diesel and Gas engines in variable and fixed speed.
- Computer literate minimum MS Office to intermediate level.
- Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment highly regarded.
- Proven work experience in Application Support or similar role.
- Understanding of computer systems, diagnostic systems and windows based software
- Knowledge of relevant SAP, SERPIC,SIS and ELTAB systems preferred.
- Extensive practical experience with DEUTZ Compact engines and other engine brands.
- Hands on practical experience with diesel and gas stationary engines.
- Ability to provide engine Application information to internal staff, Dealers and OEMs.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with dealers and OEMs.
- Experience with DEUTZ engine controls and diagnostic systems preferred.
- DEUTZ training on current series engines highly regarded.
- Flexible attitude towards working environment
