**The Role**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant to join the Endeavour Drinks Specialty finance team on a fixed term basis (12 months). This role sits within the specialty business (Langtons, Shortys, Jimmy Brings and Endeavour Delivery) and will be responsible for undertaking a range of accounts payable, accounts receivable and month end tasks.

**What You'll Be Doing**

As an accounts assistant, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:
**Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus)**
- Bank and various Online Billing reconciliations
- Receipting and allocating EFT/BPay funds as per bank statements
- Produce and distribute monthly statements
- Ensure the efficient and effective actioning of overdue balances to minimise risk of debt
- Manage customer experience by responding to invoice queries and customer credits

**Accounts Payable (Primary Focus)**
- Processing of end to end Accounts Payable across all business units, ensuring invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with supplier queries
- Prepare, upload and finalise payment runs
- Ensuring that AP control and system procedures are followed
- Prepare weekly treasury cash forecasts
- Ensure that the balances in the GRNI account is cleaned-up on a regular bases and maintained at an acceptable level
- Work closely with Buying Team in order to efficiently close GRNI items and properly address issues as they may arise

**General Duties**
- Process and manage intercompany transactions through both AR and AP
- Identify and carry out process improvements within the team to seek efficiencies whilst maintaining tight controls & compliance
- Weekly and monthly detailed account analysis and reconciliation
- Assist Financial Accounting Team in month-end closing such as preparing journal entries
- Assist wider Finance Team with other ad-hoc procedures

**A Bit About You**
- Minimum 2 years of accounts experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance (highly preferred)
- Teamplayer - great with working with teams and at times, leading teams
- Finance Skills - proven ability to prepare reconciliations and problem solve
- Attention to Detail - thorough and accurate in work preparation
- Communication Skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Stakeholder management - proven ability to manage stakeholders
- Well Organised - ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage own work load
- Proactive personality and happy to build relations with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in the wine industry highly regarded
