**About the role**:
The Facilities Services Manager coordinates the provision of facility maintenance services including strategic (planned) maintenance across all Uniting AgeWell sites to ensure statutory requirements and essential services compliance for all properties are met. This position is Fixed term full time contract for 12 months; reporting to the General Manager of Infrastructure and overseeing Facility Services Supervisors, Administrator and Maintenance staff.

Key responsibilities of the role also include but are not limited to:

- Supervision of Repair and Maintenance functions of facilities across Vic and Tas
- Represent Uniting AgeWell Facility Services at accreditation visits and ensuring compliance with OH&S Guidelines (incl. set up and maintenance of records)
- Creating and overseeing the operation of an Energy Audit System and plan for replacement and redundancy of plant and equipment
- Management of communication and security systems
- Supervision of electrical testing and tagging, management of vehicles used by Uniting AgeWell facitility services personnel and waste management
- Reviewing performance with budget and preparing reporting
- Foster efficient organisation and good relations to achieve objectives
- Proactively facilitate implementation of new and amended operational policy and practice standards through effective communication, coaching and education

- Hold tertiary qualifications in a discipline such as mechanical or electrical engineering or building facility operation and maintenance
- Demonstrate understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
- Are experienced with residential aged care or retirement living sectors preferred
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within and proote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care and services
- Can deliver highly developed negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with proven capacity to function effectivey in a complex environment
- Excellent report writing skills
- Highly developed conflict resolution and negoitstion skills
- Capacity to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes on time
- An understanding of and ability to support Residential Aged Care Standards, OH&S and other legislative requirement related to role and responsibilities
- Ability to liaise with Maintenance Contractors and Supplier
- Demonstrated ability to contrinute to continuous development activities
- Commitment to continuing professional development
