Firbank Grammar is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work at our Sandringham House Campus. The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is responsible for assisting the academic, instructional, behavioural and adaptive needs of students in their care with learning or behavioural needs. This role will primarily support two Prep students.

The position involves working collaboratively with teachers so that the students who have specific learning needs are able to access extra support. This support is delivered predominantly within the classroom but may on occasions involve withdrawal support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the academic, instructional, behavioral, and adaptive needs of students with learning or behavioral needs.
- Collaborate closely with students, teaching staff and families, developing positive rapport.
- Collaborate with the Learning Strategies Specialist when required, so they can assess, report, monitor and record student learning progress.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience in a similar role in a school environment is highly regarded. In addition to this, relevant Special Education teaching/tertiary qualifications and/or knowledge and understanding of the NCCD Process are highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Current Working with Children Check Registration (or willingness to obtain one)
- First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain one)

**Salary**: Total package at a 0.54 FTE = $35,500-$37,300 (determined by relevant qualifications and experience).
