Room Leader
2 days ago
An exciting opportunity for a fabulous Team Leader to join our Tiny Tots room for our early learning centre in Sandringham. We are looking for a qualified educator with experience to provide an appropriate developmental and enriching program for children aged 1-2 years which maximises opportunities for them to develop to their full potential. We aim to create an environment that inspires meaningful play based learning.
**The Centre**
The Village Early Learning Centre is home to 120 children and is located in bayside Sandringham, just two minutes walk from the Sandringham railway station. We provide long day care where young children are nurtured through our nursery, toddler, kinder and preschool programs. Ideally employment would start full time from the first week in July plus assistance in June for centre open days.
The Village ELC is a purpose built, family owned centre with bright, nature-inspired spaces, structures and experiences with plenty of room for growing, inquisitive and energetic bodies to play, relax or quietly explore. Our 4 amazing playgrounds are built for exploration and creative play, and the children are free to create their own learning adventures.
**Skills Requirements**
Along with your significant experience working in early learning environments, the following will be highly-regarded as we assess your skills/qualifications for a role with us.
- Diploma in Children's Services
- ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
- sound, practical working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework;
- current First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates;
- current Working with Children Check
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
